Introduzione forma negativa in inglese

La forma negativa in inglese è semplice, ma ha una regola fondamentale: 👉 serve sempre un ausiliare, a differenza dell’italiano:

• IT: “Non mangio”
• EN: non puoi dire ❌ I not eat
• EN: forma corretta ✅ I don’t eat

Capire bene questa costruzione frase inglese ti evita errori molto comuni.

1. Struttura base della forma negativa

La regola è:

👉 Soggetto + do/does + not + verbo base

Esempi:

• I do not eat pizza
• She does not study English
• They do not watch TV

⚠️ Attenzione:

• do → I, you, we, they
• does → he, she, it

Il verbo resta sempre alla forma base:

• ❌ She does not studies
• ✅ She does not study

2. Forma contratta (più naturale)

Nell’inglese parlato si usano quasi sempre le forme contratte:

do not → don’t

does not → doesn’t

Esempi:

• I don’t eat pizza
• She doesn’t study English
• They don’t watch TV

3. Ordine delle parole

L’ordine parole inglese è fisso anche nella forma negativa:

👉 soggetto → ausiliare → not → verbo

Esempi corretti:

• I do not like coffee (oppure: I don’t like coffee)
• She does not work here (oppure: she doesn’t work here)

Errori comuni:

• ❌ I not like coffee
• ❌ She not works here

4. Quando NON serve “do/does”

Ci sono casi in cui non si usa do/does.

👉 Con il verbo “to be”

Struttura:

👉 Soggetto + am/is/are + not

Esempi:

• I am not tired
• She is not at home
• They are not ready

Anche il verbo to be può usare la forma contratta:

you/we/they are not → you/we/they aren’t

she/he/it is not → she/he/it isn’t

⚠️ Attenzione! La forma con “am not” non si contrae!

I am not → I am not
